Our Partners

Our goal is to ensure that incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals have the skills and the resources they need to succeed in every aspect of their lives. We make this vision possible, in part, through our deep connections with dozens of partnering organizations across California.

Read on to learn about some of our partners and ways you can connect with us.

  • ARC

The Anti-Recidivism Coalition (ARC) works to end mass incarceration in California. To ensure our communities are safe, healthy, and whole, ARC empowers formerly and currently incarcerated people to thrive by providing a support network, comprehensive reentry services, and opportunities to advocate for policy change.

  • Defy Ventures

Even though someone has served their time, a second sentence begins as soon as they’re released. It creates a revolving door to prison and a legacy of poverty, dependency, violence, and incarceration that is passed down through generations.

  • PREP

The Partnership for Re-Entry Program (PREP) is a non-profit organization that seeks ways of improving the successful re-integration of parolees back into the community by providing inmates with pre-release self-help modular correspondence courses.

  • Homeboy Industries

Homeboy Industries serves high-risk, formerly gang-involved men and women with a continuum of free services and programs and operates several social enterprises that serve as job-training sites.

  • Project Rebound

Project Rebound is a program that supports the higher education and successful reintegration of formerly incarcerated individuals wishing to enroll and succeed at California State University.

  • Root & Rebound

Root & Rebound restores power and resources to the families and communities most harmed by mass incarceration through legal advocacy, public education, policy reform and litigation.

  • WINTER

WINTER (Women In Non-Traditional Employment Roles) is an apprenticeship readiness program for women which builds foundational skills for a career in construction. Secure a career in construction with competitive wages, benefits for you and your family, and a path to retirement.

  • Dream, Live, Hope

Dream Live Hope Foundation (DLH) is a nonprofit organization that helps fill the housing void for people who are in need of assistance. As people move from one stage of their lives to the next it is essential for them to get support in every area of their lives.

  • The Francisco Homes

The Francisco Homes provides holistic reentry support services and transitional housing for formerly incarcerated “lifers” on parole. Our homes are located in South Los Angeles. Our work is Faith-inspired and infused with hope and love. These spiritual gifts provide the cornerstone for all that we do and are the reason we maintain a less than one percent recidivism rate.

  • Covenant House California

Covenant House California (CHC) is a non-profit youth shelter that provides sanctuary and support for youth experiencing homelessness, ages 18-24. We believe that no young person deserves to be homeless; that every young person in California deserves shelter, food, clothing, education … and most importantly, to be loved. CHC provides a full continuum of services to meet the physical, emotional, educational, vocational, and spiritual well-being of young people, in order to provide them with the best chance for success in independence.

  • POPS the Club

The mission of POPS the Club is to create a safe, empowering space in high schools for the children and other loved ones of the incarcerated. POPS uses self-expression, self-empowerment and community engagement to transform stigma and shame into hope and dignity.

  • Sunrise Outreach

Sunrise Community Outreach Center provides affordable laser tattoo removal treatments by licensed and insured registered nurses and physicians. We also provide life-skills counseling and referrals. We are committed to empowering people to change their lives for the better by erasing unwanted tattoos that no longer reflect who they are.
